DigitalExpress terminals support standard USB-drives and USB-compatible mobile devices, as well as any popular flash-drives for delivering digital content to the end customers. To download content via USB the customer has to choose the product using the interactive interface and USB-download option, connect his device and pay for the product. The purchased content will be delivered directly to the device.
The DigitalExpress concept was presented to me at Gamescom and I have to say that it looks very exciting. I can see consumers liking the large range of titles available, including older ones that are probably no longer available on the shelf, as well as the option to view before they buy.
Representatives of DigitalExpress will be present with the Digital Content Store at one of the world’s largest b2b retail summits, held this coming September 10-11 in Moscow, Russia.
Hundreds of shimmering discs bearing the red and white DigitalExpress logo dangled about the heads of the businessmen and gamers that visited the DigitalExpress booth at Gamescom, Cologne between August 19 and 23. The disks, a prelude to the contents of the DigitalExpress machine- which permits a variety of personal entertainment to be burned onto a disc directly in the machine itself- reflected the lights gleaming on the stand, and cast glowing shadows on the personal expression wall. The latter, an innovation of the DE team, encouraged Gamescom participants to “graffiti” their responses to the technology directly onto two walls of the stand. Interactive like the machine itself, the wall provided an index of the overwhelmingly positive response to DigitalExpress at the exposition.
AUGUST 13, 2009- In response to the growth of novel tech devices, distributors around the globe are keeping pace by developing equally sophisticated purchase solutions. Nowhere is this more true at Gamescom 2009, where between August 19 and 23 GameExpress will showcase the Automatic Game Store its digital entertainment delivery system that places consumer empowerment at the fore.
